Grilled Cheese, one of life's simple pleasures!! Inspired by childhood memories, Matt Lancelotta and Vic Corbi set out to create a comfort casual concept offering premium grilled cheese sandwiches and giving guests the comfort foods they desire; a menu featuring a variety of creative, freshly prepared grilled cheese sandwiches, freshly prepared soups, salads, fries and shakes.

Grilled Cheese is many things...a fond memory of youth, a spontaneous treat, a special indulgence, a happy celebration or just plain fun. Grilled Cheese eases our worries, and no matter what our age it will always bring a smile to our face. We take great pride in making our grilled cheese sandwiches using only the finest ingredients.

Simply put, Grilled Cheese & Co is all about the most classic comfort food, but we have added a twist. Back in 2005 when the two friends had the vision of a restaurant that was centered around Grilled Cheese, people thought they were crazy. Today Grilled Cheese & Co is all the talk of the food industry and many have said “It's the next big thing since the burger category”.

Grilled Cheese & Co is built to be a leading force in the "fast casual" dining industry. The restaurant has a very warm and homey atmosphere with excellent guest service and a staff that is passionate about what they do. We like to keep things simple and make our guests feel at home. Here are some of the services you’ll receive as a Grilled Cheese & Co franchise partner.

Business Consultant: Their main objective is to help Grilled Cheese & Co franchisees operate their business more efficiently. You are not alone when you become a Grilled Cheese & Co franchise partner; our Business Consultant will be with you every step of your journey. Our Business Consultants are in contact with our franchisees and managers regularly by email, phone and store visits. The Business Consultants will work with you and your store managers in tracking food and labor costs, helping ensure an exceptional guest experience, monitoring store operations and marketing events.

Purchasing & Distribution: Optimized to deliver the highest quality ingredients and products at the best price, and with the utmost consistency.

World Class Training: Your training begins with a three-week program at our corporate offices with classroom instruction and continues in our training restaurant. All franchisees and managers are required to attend and successfully complete our training, resulting in a Grilled Cheese & Co certification. Our Director of Training and staff conduct daily testing with a strong focus on leadership development, business specifics, inventory management, labor scheduling, food cost control as well as conflict resolution.

Comfort Casual Interior Design: Our restaurants were designed with a homey and warm feeling to make your guests feel at home while dining in the restaurants.

Point of Sale and Information Technology Systems: These systems deliver state-of-the-art point of sale, complete back-office management, complete inventory tracking, employee time and scheduling, fully-integrated online ordering and seamless transfer to accounting.

Marketing and Advertising Programs: These programs are designed to attract new guests while also increasing purchase frequency, check average and customer retention.

Project management: We assist each restaurant with design and development and monitor this process with a personal project manager who will work with you on the build-out process, coordinating with architects and ordering all of the materials including fixtures, furniture and equipment.

Construction and Design Model: A model that maximizes space, increases operating system efficiency and reduces total cost of ownership.

Intensive real estate selection assistance: Once the franchise agreement is signed, you will work very closely with our real estate department who will provide guidance regarding what is important for finding the right Grilled Cheese & Co restaurant location. This includes providing you with a very extensive demographic study that will ensure the best site selection. We will also work with your real estate broker to search for locations all the way through to lease execution and advise on lease structures and terms.

Coordination during countdown to opening: Getting ready to open your Grilled Cheese & Co is a critical process. We provide assistance with to have a fantastic and exciting restaurant opening.

Grilled Cheese & Co Franchisee Conference: Offers an annual learning opportunity to meet face-to-face with fellow franchisees and the management team and to hear about new products that are being researched.

Research & Development: Offers ongoing product innovation while maintaining a profitable cost of goods.

Campaigns: The advertising program includes seasonal campaigns, rotating product LTO's, and more. Marketing materials include central volume printing of menus, in-store material, ads and direct mailers at the best possible cost.

Social Media: Our strategy and relationship marketing initiatives are tied directly to generating brand awareness and to create a great following and connection to the brand.

Marketing & Branding: We have an in-house brand architect and design team to provide print material, signage, window clings, point of sale, wall graphics and more all to keep the Grilled Cheese & Co brand message front and center with our guests. We value our franchisees input and can work with you to create specific branding items for your restaurant.
